COL Jim Czarnik

Jim Czarnik is a simple man who volunteered to be a Soldier, who just happens to be an officer, who just happens to be a special operator, who just happens to be a consultant emergency physician. Jim has broad experience in pre-hospital and casualty care in the least desirable places.  Jim parachuted into combat in 2001 and then continued to deploy almost every year for the next decade with special operations forces where there was no hospital .  In 2014 Jim served as the lead US physician on the ground in Liberia coordinating the US government response to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa. Jim has been a leader of change in pre-hospital care who worries first about doing the right thing for the patient and then doing it the right way for the bureaucrats.
