Mohana Amirtharajah is an orthopaedic/hand surgeon from the United States and was on faculty as assistant professor at the University of California, San Francisco for 5 years.  She began working in the field with Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) in 2014.  In 2016, she began as surgery advisor at MSF’s Operational Centre Amsterdam (OCA) and currently continues in this capacity.  In addition, she serves as leader of the MSF intersectional Surgical Working Group and a coordinator in the Public Health Department at OCA.
